Intra-action series
As opposed to an “interaction” which “presumes the prior existence of independent entities or relata” the concept of “intra-action” demands a reconceptualization of the relationship between ontology, epistemology, quantum physics, and ethics. In this framework, “boundaries and properties of the components of phenomena become determinate and… particular concepts (that is, particular material articulations of the world) become meaningful…matter is not a fixed essence; rather, matter is a substance in its intra-active becoming – not a thing but a doing a congealing of agency.”
These works were completed during my second summer as a Low-Residency MFA student at PNCA in Portland, Oregon.
