Elegy
This piece was inspired by the story of Beverly and Jeff Morris of Newton County, Georgia whose water taps ran dry after a datacenter was built 400 yards from their home. After doing deep research on the water usage of generative data centers, I kept a detailed diary of my own water usage in my home. Elegy hints at the ways water can be both a mundane and invisible privilege and a connection to our most precious memories, a life source in every meaning of the phrase.
