The title of this sculpture references sculptor Lee Ufan’s ethos that a sculpture should first be taken in as a force, eliciting a feeling before its meaning is ascertained. This thinking is curious to me particularly as it relates to conceptual sculpture where the tension between force and meaning is so potent.
